If you’re the kind of person who finds photos of other people’s kids and/or grandkids boring, you may want to click away now!  I am a proud Mom/Nana who loves to share pictures of my family, especially my precious grandbabies.  I love looking at family pictures, no matter whose they are, but I know not everyone feels that way and I understand that,  so I’m warning you now this is going to get sappy!

          Too cute for words!

Drama Queen took this picture of Ladybug after she had put her hair up in a ponytail.  It’s a little blurry, but you can see how adorable she is!  Drama Queen told her to pose and this is what she did, it’s just too cute.

                 Our Little Professor

Here’s Spiderman playing computer games, he’s really gotten very good at them.  I’m amazed at how computer literate he is already at the age of four, he’s going to soon be able to teach his Nana a thing or two about computers.

Here’s Ladybug working on an art project and finishing her lollipop.  I couldn’t get Spiderman to look at the camera and she piped up and said “Take my picture”, so of course, I did!

                 Look at that dimple!

It’s been too cold here lately to play outside, so when Beth and the little ones come over on Wednesdays we’ve had to find fun things to do inside.  I love doing arts and crafts with them, so we pulled out the glitter glue and had a ball.  Here’s Spiderman working on his masterpiece.

Papa’s joining in the fun after work

Here’s Papa giving the kids a ride on his back, they were playing dinosaur and having a grand old time as you can see by the look on their faces.  We look forward to Wednesdays when we get together as a family and spend time together, it’s the highlight of our week.

                      Hang on Ladybug!

In this photo Spiderman is doing a fantastic job as a dinosaur, complete with the scary roar.  Poor Ladybug was slipping off, but it didn’t seem to bother her at all.

Thanks for letting me share my photos, these are precious memories we’re making and I want to record as many as I can.

Have a great night!

Love, Velvia

We’ve been missing Natalie, Joey, Cupcake, and Blue Eyes so much lately, we haven’t seen them in over a month and we’re having withdrawals.  I was looking through my photos on the computer and  decided to post these adorable pictures of the grandbabies being silly.  They brought a smile to my face when I was looking at them, so I thought I would share them with you.   Please bear with me, I’m a proud Nana and I love sharing my precious little ones.

Blue Eyes – Too cute for words!

Cupake – Whaddya mean I look silly?

Ladybug – This playdoh tastes yucky!

Spiderman – GRRR! This is his mean face!

Aren’t they just too cute?  I love them more than life itself, they have blessed our lives with more joy than we ever thought possible!

I hope you have an awesome, blessed week!

Perseverance Pays Off

Well, after weeks (actually more like months) of trying,  I have finally gotten my personal photos posted and they actually look normal.  No more blurry or grainy pictures, or ones where the people in the photo look like their bodies are warped.  I gave up trying to work with the photo editing program on my computer and downloaded one of the programs that WordPress recommends.  For some reason, I kept thinking it was just me and I didn’t know what I was doing, but after spending so much of my time trying to figure things out I realized it wasn’t me,  it was the program.  It just is not capable of doing what I need it to do in order to post pictures to my blog.

I downloaded FastStone and it works like a charm, although I still have a lot to learn about the program, it’s easy to work with (a must for the technically challenged such as myself).  I should have taken Kimmie’s advice a few weeks ago, and gone ahead and tried this, but I truly thought the problem was me, not my editing program.  I am relieved to discover that I am not a total moron when it comes to all things technical!

Now that I am able to, I am going to be an obnoxious Mom/Nana and share lots of photos of my children and grandbabies.  Seriously though,  I love looking at everyone’s family photos on their blogs,  I think it’s a great way to get to know one another better.

Here’s Ladybug cuddling her BunBun (you can see her bruise from a collision with a chair)

Spiderman is making silly faces for Nana (we do whatever we can to get him to look in the general direction of the camera)

We kept Spiderman and Ladybug for a few hours last evening, while Beth and Phillip had some time to themselves.  They are such incredible kids,  I just love them so much!   Spiderman wanted to watch Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, even though he had watched it earlier in the day,  so we pulled it out and watched it.  I think the snow flurries, combined with the cold temperatures and wind we experienced yesterday, made us long for something to make us feel cozy.  Drama Queen and I had also watched Christmas movies earlier in the day while I caught up on my ironing and she painted some beautiful pictures.

Ladybug was getting sleepy and a little fussy before her mommy and daddy came back, so she and I went into the bedroom and laid down on the bed to watch a slide show of family photos on the computer.  She was so sweet lying there just looking at the pictures, she would take her pacifier out from time to time and point to the screen and jabber about whoever was in the photo.  We enjoyed snuggling until Beth and Phillip came back to pick them up.

God has blessed me with a wonderful family, and I’m looking forward to sharing them with you!

I hope you have a wonderful and blessed week!

Family Fun

Today was a great day spent with family!  Natalie, Joey, Cupcake, and Blue Eyes are here visiting for a couple of days, so we decided to go on an outing to Chuckie Cheese’s.  Drama Queen and I picked up Beth, Spiderman, and Ladybug and headed out for an adventure.  Unfortunately, Ashley and Phillip had to miss out on the fun, they both had to work today.

Everyone had a great time together, we played games, ate pizza, and laughed a lot.  The little ones were so adorable dancing to the music!  I took lots of pictures of everyone enjoying themselves, but I’m still having difficulty posting my photos.  I’ve figured out how to get them to the correct size, but I’m still having trouble with the clarity.

I’m going to persevere until I get it right!  I may be technically challenged, but I’m going to be tenacious when it comes to overcoming these obstacles.  I’m open to any and all suggestions and/or advice on how to post my pictures more clearly.  I want to preserve these memories, I know how fleeting time is.

Today was a blessing, but I’m worn out so I’m off to bed.  I hope you have a great Friday!

Spiderman, Cupcake, Blue Eyes, and Ladybug. These are my precious grandbabies, they are the light of my life!

I want to say a huge thank you to a wonderful blogger friend, Angela, for helping me post our family portrait, I really appreciate all your help!

And to Beth, my lovely daughter-in-love, for your patience with helping me figure out how to get my photos the right size for my blog.

Thank you also to another sweet blogger friend, Kimmie, for trying to help me.

You’d think I’d just won an Academy Award and was giving my acceptance speech!  But, I am so excited to be able to share my family, after weeks of trying to figure it out.

Thanks again to all who helped me!

 Love, Velvia
